Esteban C. Hernandez "Longo" entered the gates of heaven to be with our Father on July 25, 2012. He was born on January 21, 1939 to Jesusita C. Hernandez. Esteban was known for his witty personality and good sense of humor, he was a loving husband and devoted father, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He is survived by his beloved wife Lala Hernandez of 43 years; son Sammy Hernandez (wife Candi); daughter Debbie Hernandez Bigos; sisters, Rosie Urdialez and Lola Rodriguez; brothers Joaquin and Pete Hernandez; and six grandchildren, Carmen, Jannie, Roxann, Mercy, Vanessa and Ashley. He is preceded in death by his mother Jesusita Hernandez and son Steve Hernandez. Serving as pallbearers are Jim Savage, Manuel Rico, Mario Lopez, Fred Urdialez, Robert Aquirre Jr., Chris Hernandez, Jimmy Chavez, Jr., and Matthew Hernandez. Visitation will be from 6-7pm Monday, July 30, 2012 with a rosary to follow at La Paz-Graham's Funeral Home Chapel, 555 W. Amador Avenue. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at 10am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Cathedral with burial to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery where she will be laid to rest. The family invites everyone to a reception at Finley Hall following the services.
