Ginger Lee Esparza, 63, of Las Cruces , New Mexico , passed away on Sunday, May 6th at Mesilla Valley Hospice. She is with the Lord now and is no longer in pain. Ginger was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister. Ginger was born in Panama, Oklahoma on February 21, 1949 to Audrey Opal Bowers and was the eldest of five daughters. She leaves to mourn her passing her husband of 40 years, Ricardo (Rick), a daughter, Audrey Villagrana (Danny), son, Ricardo V. (Ricky), granddaughters; Karissa Saenz, Prescilla Villagrana, grandsons; Daniel J. Villagrana and Nathaniel L. Saenz all from Las Cruces, New Mexico. Mother, Audrey Opal Bowers of Panama, Oklahoma, sisters; Pam Paul (Rufus) of Hackett, Arkansas, Debbie Meredith (Ricky) of Panama, Oklahoma, her mother-in-law, Maria Esparza of El Paso, Texas, brothers-in-law; Roberto V. Esparza, Jr. (Bertha) of Austin, Texas, Ruben Esparza (Patty) of El Paso, Texas, sister-in-law, Rita Flores (Mario) of El Paso, Texas. Ginger leaves behind many nieces, nephews and cousins, which she dearly loved. Aunts; Ocie Hale of Spiro, Oklahoma and Velta Eatmon of Buck Creek, Oklahoma. Ginger is preceded in death by her father-in-law, Roberto V. Esparza of El Paso, Texas , sisters; Julie Emmert and Tammy Bowers both from Panama, Oklahoma. Ginger was dedicated to her family and would always do whatever was needed to help anyone in her family. She was a communicant of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Las Cruces, New Mexico and knew Jesus was her Lord and Savior, especially during her illness. Ginger got involved in aerobic exercise when she was a stay at home Mom with her children, and became an instructor at Metamorphis Dance Studio in Las Cruces for several years. She had many students who respected her hard work ethic and she enjoyed every day she worked there. Ginger left Metamorphis to pursue a career in office administration and through a hard work ethic and studying aggressively she did very well. Ginger was employed for the past nine years by Lockheed Martin as a Security Administrator, traveling to many of the most beautiful cities in the United States with Lockheed Martin and previously with APPI and TMC Design. Her favorite place to work was the beautiful island of Kauai , Hawaii where she spent most of the last four years. Ginger has many friends and was always looking to make new ones. A kind and gentle person to all, beautiful inside and out, Ginger will be dearly missed. Ginger was loved by many and respected by everyone she met. Viewing and visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at La Paz - Graham's Funeral Home from 6 -7 P.M. with a rosary to begin at 7 P.M., funeral mass will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Thursday, May 10, 2012 at 10 A.M., with interment to follow at Masonic Cemetery . Serving as pallbearers are Roberto V. Esparza, Jr., Ruben Esparza, Mario Flores, Rufus Paul, Jim Barrow and her son Ricky Esparza. Honorary pallbearers are Roman Esparza, Abraham Esparza, Chris Elsworth, Danny Villagrana, Daniel Bouldin and Eric Bouldin. Special thanks to MMC Cancer Center and their caring staff, Mesilla Valley Hospice for their great professional and emotional help, the entire staff there were just great. Thanks also to Lockheed Martin, TMC Design Corporation and Barnett's Las Cruces Harley Davidson for their compassion and support during this difficult time. A special thank you to Gloria and Jim Barrow for the love and care they have given to Ginger.
